JASMAR intervention on flash
flood disaster, 8th – 9th Sep. 2010:
JASMAR has carried out this
intervention in response to the flash flood disaster through
personal contribution from Mr. Bjorn Andersn at Norwegian
embassy.
Firstly, JASMAR had paid a
field visit to assess the situation and to define the most
affected family and its needs. Accordingly, one family in
Alshigla area (Omdurman locality) has been defined. The
defined family consisted of 8 members (4 children among the
family) had been visited and negotiated on its needs.
Afterward, one month food commodities for the family had
been secured to face the disaster. In addition to that, one
big tent presented to accommodate the family after the
failure of the rooms. Also mosquito nets have accompanied
the supporting package.
