2009 national workshop on Victim Assistance, 4th

This workshop organized by UNMAO to review the Victim
Assistance national work plan. Many government related
ministries, UN agencies, NNGOs and INGOs have
participated in the workshop.
During the workshop, a paper was presented by GICHD on
the historical progress since MBT signing (1999) towards
the 2nd review conference (2009). Another presentation
delivered by UNMAO on the VA work plan. Participants
divided into working groups to discuss the national plan
objectives. It is worthwhile to mention that, a work
plan draft will be distributed by the end of Feb. 2009.
On
the workshop margin, a visit paid to Usratona base for
the care of children with disabilities and the new
artificial limps centre in Juba.
